A Parametrized Propositional Dynamic Logic with Application to Service Synthesis

چکیده
We extend propositional dynamic logic (PDL) with variables ranging over an infinite domain. This extension, called parametrized PDL or PPDL for short, is interpreted over parametrized transitions systems whose edges are labeled with letters or variables and whose states are labeled with non-parametrized propositions. We show that the satisfiability problem for PPDL is decidable. We apply these results to the composition problem of web services in presence of constraints on the global ordering of the message-exchange events between the agents. We express the client specification and the available services as parametrized transitions systems and we express the behavioral constraints as a PPDL formula that the generated orchestrator must fulfill. It turns out that the model of such a formula represents the desired orchestrator.

Equality propositional logic and its extensions
We introduce a new formal logic, called equality propositional logic. It has two basic connectives, $boldsymbol{wedge}$ (conjunction) and $equiv$ (equivalence). Moreover, the $Rightarrow$ (implication) connective can be derived as $ARightarrow B:=(Aboldsymbol{wedge}B)equiv A$. We formulate the equality propositional logic and demonstrate that the resulting logic has reasonable properties such a...
متن کاملA Dynamic Logic Framework for Abstract Argumentation
We provide a logical analysis of abstract argumentation frameworks and their dynamics. Following previous work by several authors, we express attack relation and argument status by means of propositional variables and define acceptability criteria by formulas of propositional logic. We here study the dynamics of argumentation frameworks in terms of basic operations on these propositional variab...
متن کاملTruth Values and Connectives in Some Non-Classical Logics
The question as to whether the propositional logic of Heyting, which was a formalization of Brouwer's intuitionistic logic, is finitely many valued or not, was open for a while (the question was asked by Hahn). Kurt Gödel (1932) introduced an infinite decreasing chain of intermediate logics, which are known nowadays as Gödel logics, for showing that the intuitionistic logic is not finitely (man...
متن کاملReasoning about Actions for e-Service Composition
Composition of e-Services is the issue of synthesizing a new composite e-Service, obtained by combining a set of available component e-Services, when a client request cannot be satisfied by available e-Services. In this paper we study the problem of composition synthesis in a general framework. We consider e-Services as arbitrary (possibly infinite) execution trees, i.e., as trees of all potent...
متن کاملA Generalization of Stålmarck's Method
This paper gives an account of St̊almarck’s method for validity checking of propositional-logic formulas, and explains each of the key components in terms of concepts from the field of abstract interpretation. We then use these insights to present a framework for propositional-logic validity-checking algorithms that is parametrized by an abstract domain and operations on that domain. St̊almarck’s...
